Any U.S. taxpayer can donate in U.S. dollars through our partner organization – American Friends of Canadian Conservation. You’ll receive a U.S. tax receipt as well as the satisfaction of knowing your donation is matched by both U.S. and Canadian governments – so your donation goes three times further!
How it works:
If you are interested in holding your own fundraiser, or what to recognize a birthday, anniversary or other special milestone with a gift to nature, then we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Emma Liffen at info@naturetrust.bc.ca to find out how we can support you achieve your goals.
If you are interested in donating your land as a conservation area, then please contact Bryn at info@naturetrust.bc.ca who will be able to explain the ecological assessment process with you.
Your land donation may qualify as an Ecogift by the Environment and Climate Change Canada federal program, giving you additional tax benefits, including the elimination of capital gain taxes on disposition of the lands. Even if it does not qualify under this program, you may qualify for a 50% exemption from capital gains tax..

You can contribute to our conservation mission by visiting Sports Junkies, Vancouver’s premier used sporting and outdoor goods store. This partnership works in two different ways!
Donate your used gear and Sports Junkies will donate part of the value of your gear directly to The Nature Trust. These items will be specially marked for display in the store.
When specially marked gear sells, 50% of the profits will also be donated to The Nature Trust.
Thank you to Sports Junkies for all their incredible contributions to B.C. conservation. By donating your gear, you are saving it from the landfill, and enabling others to enjoy the outdoors. By purchasing used gear, you are helping stem the overproduction of material goods.
