Growing up in Australia, Morag spent lots of time in nature, solidifying her passion and  for the natural world. Upon completing her Bachelor of Antarctic Science at the University of Tasmania, Morag went on to work in bush regeneration before her move to New Zealand where she worked in invasive species control on offshore islands and as a Biosecurity Ranger for a fenced eco-sanctuary.

Since arriving in Canada in early 2023 Morag has worked to control and educate on both aquatic and terrestrial invasive species and is now proud to be working for the Nature Trust protecting important habitats and living in the beautiful Kootenays. In her spare time Morag loves exploring the Kootenays through hiking, biking, and running.
