Rachel Dacre

Marketing Communications Manager

Born in Mbabane, Eswatini and raised in the UK, Rachel landed into British Columbia at the end of 2023 with the goal of working in conservation and stewardship in this unique and beautiful part of the world. Rachel has a B.A. Honours in Journalism and English Literature and has spent the last 12 years of her career delivering high-impact communications, PR, media, marketing and branding for a variety of world-leading environmental conservation and sustainability charities.

Rachel started her career as a news and features journalist across print, digital, radio and crime throughout the north of England, then decided to combine her passion for storytelling with environmental conservation and stewardship. She shifted into seafood sustainability and led communications and marketing at the global non-profit, the Marine Stewardship Council, in London, UK. She has since worked to combat slave labour at sea, piracy, overfishing and land and nature conservation.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys discovering all the beautiful nature that British Columbia has to offer.
